The Law Institute today
The Law institute of ISU is a prestigious educational institution where the juridical elite of Russia are being reared. Since the early twentieth century the Institute has been the Alma Mater for many prominent thinkers and scholars, legal experts and statesmen, theoreticians of the present-day legal scientific idea.
The main principle of the Law Institute of ISU – to retain the traditions of classical, fundamental legal education – is sustained due to the combination of such counterparts as scientific activity, academic work and educatory process.
Throughout its 90-year history the Law Institute has educated thousands of experts in law who are currently working in the government bodies, law-enforcement authorities, judicial bodies, advocacies, customs, tax bodies, law firms.
Students of the Law Institute study a wide array of Humanitarian and Professional disciplines: ranging from History and Philosophy of Law to Roman, Civil, Criminal and International Law; from the special courses in Tax, Banking, Currency, Customs Law to Civil and Arbitration Proceedings. In recent years law students have been simultaneously acquiring knowledge in Economic Foundation of Enterprise Management, Financial and Economic Management, Crediting and Monetary Circulation Aspects.
