Science
The department has active researching and teaching activities. This is evidenced by the regular publication of scientific works in the journal "The Siberian Law Herald", the newspaper "The East-Siberian Pravda" and other publications, including the central; presentations at the annual scientific conferences held by Law Institute, as well as conferences at various levels, conducted on the basis of other universities in Russia: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Tomsk, Tyumen, etc.
Preserving the continuity of scientific tradition currently at the Department is still develop the above research directions based on their refractive changes in the specific legislation, and social-political realities. In addition, teachers of the department began to develop new research directions:
- research of regional features of crime in Siberia;
- the problem of criminal violence and the criminal law protection of life and health;
- Issues of criminal law protection Foreign Economic Affairs in Russia;
- actual problems of criminal law policy in drug trafficking.
